DESCRIPTION:

The Hull Speed Mini Limited Distance Modem56K AMM is designed to work in a 4-wire point-to-point application with DC continuity and use a modular RJ type or terminal strip connection.

The 56K AMM is asynchronous only and operates at speeds up to 56K bps with a range of up to 5 miles.

These mini-modems use CMOS technology, requiring minimal power, enabling them to derive sufficient power from the interface and eliminate the need for external power.

The asynchronous unit 56K AMM is DCE/DTE selectable, eliminating the need for crossover cables, and can be connected directly to the equipment. These units are polarity sensitive, and proper polarity is required at the VF interface.
